The Interaction of Storage Subsystems

In the SAN-based networks is to create a separate internal network, designed specifically for high-speed traffic data warehouse. Separation of storage systems and servers, as well as the placement of all drives in a Fiber Channel network allows you to create multiple connections between storage devices and servers, and vice versa.

This approach provides the benefits of traditional networks, such as improved scalability, availability and performance. Additionally, data backup is no longer affect the rest of the network, as traffic associated with the backup, is performed in a separate SAN, that is, outside the LAN.
